I’ve been documenting my journey since 2021, so I’ve got plenty of data and lessons to share. Now, let’s dive into my side hustle income for July 2024!
Side Hustle Income for July 2024
Wag (Dog Walking): $0.00
Amazon Video Review Commissions: $1,817.61
ShareGrid (Camera Rental): $0.00
Podcast: $9.37
Consulting Calls: $0.00
House Hack: Free Housing
Airbnb/VRBO (Short-Term Rental Income): $5,201.18
Monthly Interest: $568.22
Total Side Hustle Income for July 2024 = $7,596.38
July has been an amazing month, with several of my side hustles seeing great results. The most notable increases came from Amazon video reviews and Airbnb. With a total of $7,596.38 in side hustle earnings, I’m definitely seeing the fruits of my efforts in optimizing these hustles.
Wag: $0.00
No dog-walking this month. While I haven’t been active with Wag lately, it’s still something I can return to if my schedule allows. The hustle has been in the background as I focus on other opportunities, but it’s always an option for when I want to add some extra income.
Amazon Video Review Commissions: $1,817.61
Amazon video reviews continue to be a strong performer, earning me $1,817.61 in July. This is a great sign of growth, and I’ve been focusing on increasing my review output. Targeting high-traffic product categories and optimizing my strategies is helping me see solid results, and I plan to continue with this approach to keep the momentum going.
ShareGrid (Camera Rental): $0.00
No camera rentals on ShareGrid this month. While I’m keeping the camera rental option in the back of my mind, it’s not been a focus lately. As wedding season continues, I may see some uptick in demand, and I’ll be ready to list gear when the time is right.
Podcast: $9.37
My podcast earned $9.37 this month. While this amount is small, it’s progress! I’m happy to see growth, and I’m continuing to work on building my audience, improving the content, and engaging listeners. I hope to see a greater return on this hustle in the near future as the podcast continues to grow.
Consulting Calls: $0.00
No consulting calls this month. Although this is an area I’m focusing on expanding, there weren’t any calls this time around. I’ll keep pushing this hustle and working on building my reputation and network in the consulting space.
House Hack: Free Housing
House hacking continues to be a big win. Living in one unit for free offsets my housing expenses significantly, and the long-term rental and short-term rental units help me cover all of my living costs and earn income. It’s a great strategy to reduce living expenses and maximize income.
Airbnb/VRBO (Short-Term Rental Income): $6,138.00
Short-term rental income is up this month, bringing in $6,138.00 from Airbnb and VRBO. After accounting for the building’s share of expenses, my net income for the month is $5,201.18. The summer months have been good for Airbnb bookings, and I’m focused on maintaining high occupancy rates and optimizing the listings for even better performance.
Building Expenses:
Monthly mortgage payment (including interest): $2,116.07
Home insurance: $151.96
Property taxes: $542.44
Total monthly expenses: $2,810.47
Since the building has three units, the Airbnb portion of these expenses is $936.82 per month.
Net Airbnb Income for July:$6,138.00 - $936.82 = $5,201.18
This represents my actual profit from the Airbnb hustle after covering the building’s share of expenses.
Interest Earnings (Robinhood): $568.22
This month, I earned $568.22 in interest from my Robinhood account. As I continue to decide where to allocate the funds, it’s nice to see these earnings accumulate from my idle investments. This serves as a reminder that even money sitting passively can yield returns.

July has been an incredible month for side hustle earnings, with a total of $7,596.38. I’m thrilled with the progress I’m making, particularly with Amazon video reviews and Airbnb. With each passing month, I’m fine-tuning my strategies and focusing on growing the hustles that are working well.
